The Treble Task Force

With the light of Manchester United's victory over Southampton in the EFL Cup Final, fans believe that the Glory Days that we saw during the Ferguson Era are not a distant memory, but a journey not impossible. The fans have their confidence in Mourinho’s Red Army and him to reach to the heights and regain the status of Europe's Elite. The team that the whole world feared. It will not be easy, but with the proper measures and dedication, the Glory Days will be back. 

Let's have a look on how United should develop their Treble Task Force. 

1. New signings. 

One of the most important thing which is needed to get to the Premier League and Champions League is world class players. We can clearly see that star studded teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, PSG are successful due their young, star studded teams. The likes of Messi, Ronaldo, Griezmann, Robben, Neuer, Buffon having been Dominating Europe since and before the departure of Sir Alex. United need to fill the huge holes where they have been rather weak this season, mainly being, Defense, Attack and holding Midfield to support Pogba. They have been linked with a move for players like Griezmann, Alli, Kane, Neymar and various other world class players in order to have a strong 11 and face the best of the best. United already have players with enormous potential like Martial, Rashford, Bailly, Shaw. These players are young but not fully developed to face the elite. Zlatan and Carrick's future is uncertain, there no perfect, top of the line defender who has European experience to partner Bailly, there is no fixed player on the left wing, Valencia is ageing, left back is weak. These small gaps need to be filled to create a trophy wining XI 

2. Champions League Qualification 

Before have ambitions for European Glory United need to qualify for the Champions League which is the real deal. With their current 6th place in the league and rivals above them getting points and sometimes dropping points, United will have to take advantage of the situation and fight and gain top 4 hopes. Staying in the Europa League will not solve anything, no new signings, no sponsor money, boards confidence in the manager and players will all be threatened. 

3. Experience and Influence 

We all know that United have few players above the age of 30 and have have valuable experience under their sleeve. They being, Ibrahimovic, Carrick, Valencia, Rooney, Young, Schweinsteiger. The fact that their future's are uncertain and fews place not fixed, they may leave. But they have European experience and all have been champions with the club, or with other club's and known how the Premier League functions. They can also help young players develop, nuture them and take the burden off the coaching staff. They may be old and may retire in a few years but as they say the body gets old but the mind gets young, Old is Gold! 

4. Future's Of Player's. 

We have noticed that the future of few important players are unclear, few don't get chances, few are thinking to move and few are are undecided. Here what should be done 

Ibrahimovic -  Keep, very valuable, experience and important to the club 

Carrick -  May be old, but has valuable experience and leader. May retire due to his age and his announcement is pending 

Young -  Sell Will be overthrown by Valencia or new signing if any. 

Shaw - Keep,  Young, very high potential future player and star. Needs to be trusted and given a chance 

Schweinsteiger - Keep, A German Legend and a World Cup winner. Champions League experience, great passing, can help Pogba and Herrera. May not have a fixed place, but will be influential if kept. 

Rooney - Sell, It is a great honor to have a top scorer of the club. He has served as club captain, England captain.True Legend. He has enormous Premier League experience but has become quite slow. With the likes of Mata, Mkhitaryan and potentially Griezmann he will not stand a chance at United. Would be sad to let him go, but for something big, few sacrifices have to be made. Better for him and the club that he leaves with a mutual consent 

5. Youth Promotion. 

As the treble and glory won't come overnight, United will have to start thinking long term. They have fine youth academy products who need a loan spell to gain experience, so that they can be ready for the real test. The likes of Fosu Mensah, Tuanzebe, Henderson,Joel Borthwick Jackson. They also have Andreas Pereira on loan at Granada, he is a lad of promise and should be given a chance. There are also many u 18 players like Angel Gomes, Tahith Chong, DJ Buffonge who are excelling. They need to tie them to contracts or promote them to the u 23 and gradually to the first team. They are the future and flowers of Manchester. You would like to see next Class of 92 or to be precise The Class of 2020? 

6. Injection of Dedication and Wining Mentality. 

As we saw in the Ferguson Era the players will mentally ready and they had only one dream, target, to win it all my any means necessary, the urge and hunger to succeed. The current United players will have to develop this characteristic, which can act as a motivational factor and the players can be disciplined and focus on their goal. If got they will be unstoppable and more efficient. Not saying to be over confident. 

7. Fair Play 

Great teams should play hard, win, but win properly. Give respect to their opponents and follow the rules of the game. With this they will have more fan following and the respect of the fans. The world shouldn't think of Manchester United as a greedy team. They should think of United as a team of dignity and wining the right way. One of the main qualities of a successful team. 

8. All For The Fans. 

The players should keep in mind that they are nothing without their fans. What they are doing is not only for themselves but also for the fans who have supported them all along. Football is nothing without fans. It is because of the fans that clubs are successful. 

With these qualities in the modern Manchester United side and following these steps, United can create a Treble Task Force with a mixture of Youth, Fast, Technical, Experienced and Respectful team. If they possess such qualities they can be as good as the 1999 treble team and who knows even better. Let's hope if these matra can be used to Create the Ultimate Treble Task Force of the new age, a new manager and new team but same name and same objective. To instill the Fear Factor in Europe's Elite and get on top of the world.
