Jesse Lingard. The Next Danny Welbeck?

The world renowned Manchester United Youth Academy has created world class legendary players down the line, some who have fit in the system and some who were sold after few seasons due to inefficiently or excess of players. During the last few seasons there are  current youth players who have made a place in  Mourinho’s first team, Smalling, Rashford, Lingard, Tuanzebe, Fosu Mensah amongst the names.
Over the past week we are hearing about speculation of Lingard signing a new contract or clubs moving in,  to sign him up.
Lingard was a part of the same youth team from which Pogba hailed. They have a strong chemistry amongst them. Currently he has not been the first choice winger this season and has not even flourished enough. He may be the FA Cup hero and even though scoring goals on three consecutive Wembley occasions being, Community Shield and EFL Cup Final. But these are the few occasions where he has scored. He slowly is becoming like what Danny Welbeck at United, a one season wonder.

Let's see how he is being surplus of requirements.

1. Competition -  Being a winger he has to face a lot of competition from inform Mkhitaryan and Mata, who both are irreplaceable. Mata, Mkhitaryan are versatile players who are quick, creative and attack minded. Both of them are an integral part of the team this season and Lingard hardly used as a filler and back up. He gets play time of 25 minutes whenever he plays and few starts.

2.  Importance of experienced and Clinical Player's.

This season United are battling it out for a place in the top 4, which is a very difficult task. The teams above are gaining points, lower teams adding more pressure on United. Which require a top quality players who have high creativity, consistency and experience. Lingard is still young and has potential to succeed, but in this situation it looks unlikely. United can't afford to play players who have less Premier League experience.

3. Lack of time.

Lingard is 24 and has not yet discovered his true potential. He may be late to find his inner beast. The manager is trying to nuture him, but if he rots on the bench time will fly. As they say time and time, waits for no man.

What right amount should United accept for him if he leaves or they are willing to sell him?

A versatile, young English wingers are a rare sighting. Given his quality, potential and form United can and should easily get 25 million pounds to the right buyer. Premier League clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs could pay that money given they are rivals.

How could he be used in buying players?

United have been linked with moves for Premier League players Alexis Sanchez, Dele Alli, Harry Kane, whose clubs who are monitoring Lingard's United situation. United could make use of this situation and offer Lingard as a part deal in order to attain their targets and as a result reduce financial cost.

Specialities and Traits

Lingard may not be a regular but has certain special traits which can be useful for United.

1. Pace

2. Agility

3. Dribbling Skill

4. Technical Mindset

His Disadvantages.

1. Wastes Chances

2. Tends to lose possession quickly

3. Clumsy Passing

4. Loves to stay in an Offside Position

5. Lack of Experience and Creativity.

6. Low Attacking Capacity

Who is an ideal replacement should he leave?

United have an abundance of wingers and may not require if Lingard leaves but if United DO want to sign they should go for.

1. Christian Pulisic -  Dortmund, Aged 17

2. Andreas Pereira -  21 Currently on loan at Granada

3. Memphis Depay - 22 Sold to Lyon but why not get him back?

4. Vaclav Cerny -  19  Ajax

5. Osumane Dembele -  19 Dortmund, (very less probability)
