The Lone Wingmen

Manchester United have an abundance in one area and also the most competitive area. The Wings. United have great players in that position with the likes of Mkhitaryan, Lingard, Rashford, Rooney, Martial, Mata and Young. With 7 players competing for two roles it's difficult to rotate them and in there it's like you play or pay, play or leave. The recent Manchester United outcast Memphis Depay could not cope with this pressure, he could not fight for his place or let's just say that he didn't blend in with the team in his depressing 18 month tenure. He is now at Lyon, still at 22 he has loads of potential and due to that United may bring him back due to the buy back clause inserted in the contract.

With all the stories rumbling about two more wingers who are linked with moves away being Anthony Martial and Ashley Young.

Anthony Martial
Martial who is capable of playing on the left and as a striker cannot find his great form which we saw last season. This season he has just not impressed up to the mark, has scored six goals in all competitions this season dividing which
Premier League - 2
FA Cup - 1
League Cup - 2
Europa League - 1
Which is not good according to his standards and also keeping into account his performance excluding goals. His shots have been off target, vulnerable to defenders which was not seen last year.
All this could not be his fault due to his Injury concern during the starting months of this season. He is 21 and has immense, loads of potential and can be
a United great. But the manager has to trust him an give him chances and nurture him like he did for Hazard, De Bruyne. And we all know that he is capable of it. He should not become the next Depay or Di Maria. United should keep him at the club and stop him from leaving before they are too late. The player is reportedly not happy and recently being dropped from the Stoke City match although being match fit.
It could mean losing Ronaldo all over again if we let him go.

Ashley Young.
Ashley Young the second disappointed winger at United. His case us even worse than that of Martial's. He is 31 and has not scored this season. Forget scoring he has not even started since November. He is known for his versatility to play on both wings and also can play as a right back and is good there. But due to Valencia's domination in the position he does not stand a chance. It would not be that we lose Ronaldo if he leaves because of his age, quality. We can't compare him to Martial but can be an influential player in the squad due to his experience. But as the competition looms and his mostly just seen rotting on the bench not even being played or played for the late death minutes off the 90 his future at United may soon be over. It is said that The Chinese Super League are behind his signature and the player is interested in the move away in order to save his career, but even though he is not been playing the manager wants to keep him which is very surprising. It could be because of the fixture congestion coming up and Jose will require his full squad. Young is reportedly asked for a loan move away from the club but as he stated that no one will be allowed to leave on loan only permanent transfers will be entertained. The market shuts in a few days and in our opinion and safeguarding the best for the player, United should cash in for him with a Chinese offer on the table and buy a better winger in his place. If United opt to sell him for an offer close to 12 Million Pounds will be great. But with China in mind we could expect a 15 - 25 Million Pound range which would be a Jackpot.
